Kick off for 2019
We are excited to commence our second official year of trading, throughout last year we trialled a few different things for the business and despite a few hiccups we have found what works for us. With a set price list for the coming season, renewed contracts with venues and brand new shows coming forward wanting us to photograph for them, 2019 is definitely set up to be an amazing year!
We started our year with 4 days of British Showjumping at Wellington Riding, with over 650 entries this was an incredible turnout for the first show of the year, we loved seeing familiar faces with new rides, but also quite a lot of new combinations coming into the Waterloo Arena.
With fences from 70cm up to a whooping 1.40m it was a great introduction into the 2019 season ahead, with beautiful fences from Cheshire Showjump Services coming to the end of hire, we are now excitedly anticipating the new 2019 fences from them! A colourful and artistic fence will always stand out to me as a photographer, especially when the autumnal and spring colours really give it that WOW factor!
We then had the Area 43 British Showjumping Show also held at Wellington the following weekend, it was a pleasure to be working alongside Peter Hurley, the fab Australian Development Officer for the South East, the show ran effortlessly with every rider complementing the show on how easy it was to enter, the stewarding in the warm up etc. It's safe to say that we were amazed by one certain riders "stickability". And to top off our day, We also have a very sweet young lady who competes regularly at Wellington and also at T & P Equestrian (Another of our Venues) this young lady left us the sweetest message with a polo wrapped inside, after winning her class and her very first rug!
In my country everyone loves the sport and has great respect for the riders. However, much of the coverage is very biased in favor of the home team, and often doesn't paint a true picture of their performance. I love the sport and want to learn more about it, but I am having difficulty finding objective reporting.
